Pictures are blurry – Not using Zoom

PRE-FOCUS: The biggest cause of blurry pictures is improper focusing. The proper focusing technique for point and shoot cameras is as follows. Push the shutter button lightly or half way down. The camera will then attempt to focus. Once focus is achieved, a green focus frame will appear in the center of the LCD screen. A red focus frame indicates that the camera was unable to focus. If this occurs try again until the green frame appears indicating proper focus.

Once you have the green frame then press the shutter all the way down to take picture.  This is known as taking a picture with PRE-FOCUS.

Other Options:

  • Make sure OIS is on – it’s on by default
  • Use a Tripod for best results
